Funny Sayings!

Okay.. we have been really busy these past couple a weeks and I will get to some pictures maybe this week but I wanted to share a couple of funny things my kids and daycare kids have shared this week! Yesterday we went to Quincy to go to Wal-Mart and purchase a slip n slide, water balloons, and water guns! With the heat coming we thought we should be prepared to have WATER activities. So, anyway, we were on our way home and we saw a state cop on the side of the road and the kids get to talking about what jail was like. One of the kids ask "When you are in jail, do you only get bread and water to eat?" I said, "No you get other food but I doubt it's real good." They reply," So they don't get like steak?" I laughed and said,"I doubt it!" Yesterday we also had a storm roll through Bowen about 3:30 or so and that was right when we were putting up the slip n slide and we headed in. The power went out at 4:00 so we colored, played with play doh, and flubber. What next? So once all the kids left I decided to see when Jason would be home so we could go somewhere. I was bored already! Well in the meantime I asked Jadyn do you want to go to Keokuk to eat with Kelsey? Jadyn said," Mom, there's no power our car won't work!" I said,"Jadyn it's just in the house." Then later she said,"Mommy I really have to use the bathroom, what do I do?" I said, "You can still go to the bathroom." The kids say the darnest things! One more short story..we were swimming at grandma Sue's and a cloud went over the sun, Jaren looked at me and said,"The light went out mommy! Turn it back on!" The cloud moves and the sun pops back out, Jaren says,"Oh, the light's on Mommy!"

1st softball game of the year..

This was the only picture I captured from Jadyn's 1st game on Saturday. It was in Bowen right across the street from our house. They will have games every Saturday in Bowen and every Wednesday in Plymouth. She did very well at her 1st game. I was chasing Jaren around most of the game! That's why I only had 1 picture taken!

McDonald's Trip

This past Friday we decided to load up and head to Quincy to go to McDonald's. It was a great day and kids had a lot of fun. All the kids in the picture to the right are Kelsey and Kayden, Jake, Jaise, Jaren, Jadyn, and Jerik.

Jadyn had a week of VBS and basketball camp

Jadyn and Jaren in their matching shirts they made at VBS. Jaren played to much after the VBS program and didn't get to eat any of the red velvet cake I made...so he decided to lick what was left off the cake container! The whole group.. they had a great week at church! Jadyn's 4 in her class Here they are doing their program during church on Sunday. The kids in the red and pink were my class. The 4 and 5 year olds. They were a lot of fun to be around all week Jadyn went to basketball camp in Camp Point this past week too! She was a very busy girl. We had 7 girls from our area that went and took turns driving the girls to camp each morning. Jadyn, Molly, and Kelsey...the 3 from my house and they happened to all wear their shirts the same day!

Eric and Ashley's wedding

Yard Sale

This past weekend was all town yard sales in Bowen so we decided to have one. We sold alot of things but not enough..still lots left! My sister and I did one together at my house, we made a little over $500 altogether! Which I thought was great!This is what I found about 5 o'clock on Friday evening! He was one tired boy from being in and out all day setting up for our yard sale! I guess he wanted to nap in the middle of his toys! Jadyn and Tegan playing dress up!
